2018

Well, hello.

I occasionally blog here when I feel like it and there there, this is the post to summarize 2017.

I can't remember exactly what happened during when and where, but if I were to list the memorable events then yes, there are 2.

First, I visited US & Canada for the very first time with Al. Heh, it wasn't a wrong choice to visit even though money flow like waterfall but it is worth it coz... YOLO! So happy to be visiting and seeing places where I've been seeing it on TVs etc. Finally I get to see them with my very own eyes, I got to eat so much good food (lobster rolls slurpps), I got to drive liker local, I got to see Niagara Falls from both sides, I got to do so many so many so many things! Then it occurred to me that, it is only the East side... I haven't even gone to the West side and of course lots of other places like UK, Europe etc... Really cannot wait to explore the rest of the world with Al :)

Secondly of course, Al proposed :) I am someone who is engaged (for like 8 months liao lol), kept mum the entire engagement thingy coz I took quite some time to take it in. Hahaha, it's like another huge step in my life hor! One of the biggest life decisions to be made! Of course needed some time to settle in lol. But all is fine, I hope the journey ahead of us will be a smooth-sailing one :)

And of course, selecting our HDB, settled the downpayment etc.. The other big decision that we made.

Oh oh, I should also mention that I took up Muay Thai recently because it was relatively fun! Got to release a bit of stress and unhappiness on the punching bag keke. Likely to continue this even though the membership is just based on entries, but heck, gonna see how this goes!

Wow, as I'm typing this, I am so amazed how my 2017 turned out to be... Keke, sincerely hope that 2018 will be another year full of memories and all the best to whoever who is still reading this.

2016 so far

Wow, it has been a year since I last updated. I really should rediscover the wonders of blogging. Anyway, 2016 has been a very unlucky year for me so far. I'm so ridiculously suay this year that I cannot even keep up with the suayness. I just hope that the year will end well, and with this I also realised that half the year is already gone, omg, time really passes so damn fast.

This year is quite interesting because I will have quite a few YOLO moments. After the skydive last year, I suddenly got this realisation that I should have more YOLO moments in my life. Do things that I should not regret and live this life to the fullest. Tbh, I'm so scared of dying but when the time comes, it will come like what the queen always tell me. Just have to be happy and live in the moment and of course, it would be best if there are no regrets. 

Alright, just a short update here. Most of the time is just my planner or Dayre. I really hope I find the commitment to do this again sometime :)

2015

First post of 2015. It's March now. Time flies! The last post was about me updating about the rest of the months but apparently I was too busy and lazy(?) to do it. Kinda lost the motivation to blog about stuff. Even my Dayre went dead for awhile but I still used it. I do keep record on my activities and stuff in my planner (like what I did, who I'm with etc) and I guess that will suffice for me. Even though it's not in blog form. It doesn't really matter to me anymore. Maybe not as much as last time.

2015 kind of signifies another change for me as I transform to a full-time working adult. I've gotta admit 2014 was pretty awesome so far. I graduated with a degree (commencement coincidentally on my birthday as well), travelled to Taiwan and Korea, went to my first cruise with the bf and his parents, sending the bf away for 5 months, secured my first full time job, attended so many concerts (CNBLUE, Ellie Goulding, YG Family), staycation at M Hotel with the awesomest and also countdown with BIGBANG. Ended 2014 and started 2015 with a BIG BANG (pun intended). No resolutions no nothing unlike what I did because it will and always be the same resolutions. All I hope for is for all my loved ones to stay safe, healthy and happy always.

So far the past 2 months has been pretty kind to me. The bf came back and we had a staycation at Rendezvous Hotel as a welcome back celebration haha. I'm pretty cooped with work but all is well and manageable. Looking forward to BKK trip with Al in May though. Already planned for a holiday for 6 days there (ikr, a bit too long for bkk but anywhere is good and nice as long as I'm not in SG). Queen was asking me to save my leaves for Thailand trip next year ^^

Hope it will be a fruitful year ahead! :)

Headed to Ginz' place to meet her for lunch! So happy and excited because this is the first time I'm meeting her ever since she came back from her very adventurous and long holiday. Keke plus this is one of the few times that I travel all the way to Pasir Ris and landed myself at some ulu place haha.

Anyhooz, Ginz was being a very nice host! Heheh she cooked Beef Bolognese for me!! Hehehe first time somebody cooked pasta for me lea!! Every time is I cook for people LOL.

So happy talking and catching up with her ( I did most of the talking anyway, she's such a great listener!) Glad she likes her duck pouch that I got from Taiwan. Omg the material so nice to touch until I regret why I never buy one for myself! Taoyan! Her sister is also very funny as well haha. 

After that, I went to meet the bf at Tampines to catch....

It was so good!! I teared at 2 parts of the movie lol! AJ is so charismatic and all in the movie!! And went to have our dinner after that keke!

ELLIE GOULDING'S CONCERT 2014

Desiree asked me a few months back whether I listen to Ellie Goulding's songs, I'm like "Yeah! Why?" and she jio-ed me to go to her concert together. I agreed readily too coz I didn't go to her previous showcase in Singapore the other time. 

It was my first time attending an English singer's concert haha. Plus it's at Star Vista, I'm so used to Kpop and Indoor stadium so I was pretty lost that day haha. 

So I met Dezzy after work and we had dinner at Jamaica Blue cafe. Our food took forever to come please. I had a pleasant experience with them the first time, but this time I wasn't very impressed. My carbonara took forever to come and idk why. Prolly coz it was crowded as well that affected the service. But other than that, the food and tea is still ok :) Then we walked and loitered around for a bit before entering.

Waited until 8.45pm when it finally started. So late right! I think we ended pretty late at about 10+ Ellie sounded so good live!!! She totally nailed it! I'm so glad I attended! Only down side was she is a tad too far (it's like seeing stickman walking on stage) and there are no huge screens that film her. Pfft. So my pictures are all a blur coz I zoomed in too much lol.

And I liked it when she talked! So sexy British accent! Plus she is quite funny and I enjoyed rocking out to her hits and covers! ;)

It was Dez' first concert experience as well! Keke glad that I'm part of it LOL. Plus she finally passed me the super duper belated scroll that she made for me (for my 21st birthday) and I was so touched reading it! Hehe. Chilled at Starbucks at Rochester before chionging for the last trains and buses.

6th June, Friday

Met Al for dinner after work at Suntec! Keke, poor boy already started his internship immediately after his papers ended. Same for me as well, didn't wasted too much time to rot around other than the holiday trips that I was away for. Hehe. Anyhooz, he came over to meet me first since he was at SIM the other day. Decided to have Nam Nam Noodle Bar for dinner because I always see that there's a queue and the prices are not very steep. Another virgin try at Vietnamese cuisine. I ordered some pork ball pho and he had the grileld chicken sandwich. Didn't really fancy their sauces, I thought that the chilli was a bit too exotic for my liking. Still prefer the Thai's kway teow style more haha. Umm walked around to chill after that near the Esplanade hehe.

7th June, Saturday
Al came over in the morning banging my door down. Sorry love, I was too deep in sleep already. Anyhooz, we went to Novena to get our lunch at QQ Rice House. My virgin try again, it was not that bad. It was also very filling even though it looks like a small ball of rice. After that we went to Tanjong Pagar's FF for gym.

He swam while I nua-ed a bit before getting my ass up to run. Bus-ed to Vivo after that and acted touristy with the selfie stick.

Haha plus we were playing around with his rather new camera so yup. He went off at 7pm to meet his friend while I headed straight home after the tiring run I had lol.

8th June, Sunday

Lunch with Elias at TPY Enter. Haven't meet him for really long but I asked Jinwang along too. Jade joined us too as well. Had our fave scissors cut curry chicken culet rice lolol and skipped Creamier (lol sorry elias hahaha) and settled down at Coffee Bean instead. Caught up for a bit before I went back home to nuaaaaa. As I get older, I realise how precious it is to have time to nua at home. Sigh, cherishing days like this.

11th June, Wednesday (copied and paste from my Dayre)

Just knocked off from work omg. Eyes going cock eye Liao please. Stare at the excel for so freakinish long plus there's like 4 million entries. Wtf -stabs self- 

Anyhoooz before you think why I retarded never use formulas..... There wasn't any formula to make it better omg. I alr tried so many and I failed. Sianz! Managed to filter and sort and ya... Pffffttttt....

I'm halfway there alr. But then the thought of staring at the same sheet (shit) makes me go.........

Yup this was my face just now and will also be my face tmr.

Ok happy thoughts! At least I'm occupied with something to do (haven't got my own free time yet) and now gonna head to town to meet the bf Liao yay yay yay! We're gonna have dinner at Concerto (the one at Cathay that replaced Billy Bombz)

Self-proclaimed handsome bf ordered carbonara and I ordered a duck tortellini hahaha. Gei kiang me wanted to try smt exotic........

LOLOLOL. Can you imagine my face? I'm not usually very adventurous with ordering new food, so when this came I'm like "wtf is this vomit lookalike thingy sia?!?!"

Ok la turns out it's like some dumpling shaped (wanton?) then the duck meat is all inside. The white foam is actually milk. And I guess it tasted rather ok? Considering it's just poached egg + milk (like eat breakkie set like that) + potato and about 6(?) wanton?

Umm generally the food is a lil salty for my liking? But still edible la hor. Haha. Haven't got the chance to try Saveur so prolly will try it one day! Haha! @weitingmonkie here's my reply lolol

May 22nd, Wednesday

Dinner plans with Dy and Clems after work, but because we were meeting at 7? So I accompanied the self-proclaimed handsome bf for his dinner! I'm so nice please.

And idk why he can keep saying he's very handsome and suave and etc lol!

After that met Dy at the new Starbucks in City Square mall to wait for Clems the driver. Wanted to eat at Lavender Food Square for many many many times before it close :'( But when we reached.... we found out that our fave Kok Kee wanton mee was closed :'( Haha, tmd damn suay, even my Miow Sin carrot cake also close. Then the 3 of us had the prawn noodles, fishball noodles and XLB. Lol. Compared to what I ate with Dy the last time we were there, this time was nothing. Haha. 

Gluttons us and the 2 of them tried to keep me away from my bus pffft! 

Looking at this pic made me realise that my hair was indeed v long. I think that was the longest I've ever kept in my life. It was so troublesome and so hot and I was so lazy to go to a salon and cut it :/

May 22nd, Thursday

Met Shirlz, Puayjoo and Shuqing for dinner to discuss about out Taiwan trip! Heheh, had Astons and we stayed there for quite a while Hehe. K end of story LOL. I can't remember what else we did alr, sorry girls.

May 24th, Saturday

Decided to cut my hair before I head to Taiwan. Haha, after seeing this photo below, I honestly didn't know it was this long because it really didn't feel wrong

So this is the result of leaving my hair long without cutting for like 1.5 years. I remembered quite clearly because the last time I cut my hair length was before school last year. 

Now I feel my head is lighted and it didnt looked that short. Haha, My hairdresser was like "Are you sure you wanna cut so short? You don't cry ah later!" So comical! I'm quite determined to cut short already ah, so I didn't really feel v sad in particular. In fact, I was kinda happy because I'm finally cutting my hair after so long. Haha, he was kina shocked when I wanted to cut but before that he was asking me how long haven't I cut it lol! Sorry, will try not be lazy :x

Met the bf at 4+ pm at Suntec to accompany him to do shopping. Met Elias at his workplace as well before we walked in to a random cafe to chill before we meet the queen at night for dinner. 

I think we went to Dhoby to meet the queen and had Jap food. Can't really remember much that day but I was prolly happy since I was with the 2 most important person in my life. Haha.

May 25th, Sunday

Met the bf at Tamp at 1130 to gym. 1st time at Tamp's FF and was encouraged to take the cycling lesson. Umm, quite an eye-opener I would say, and really sweat it all out manz! 1 hour lesson + 30mins on the treadmill before heading for the showers.

Went to catch.......

X-MENNNNNNNNN! 

And we managed to get the 1 for 1 tickets!!! 2 of us for $11 only on a Sunday somemore!!! What a buy! There was this promo going on and apparently we were the two of the first 1000 ppl. Lol. Movie was great (like duh, it's marvel~) Was a bit panicky when I didn't find my IC but then glad I got it back in the end, so heng ah! Anyhooz, my legs hurt like crazy and I remember that I packed my bags for Taiwan v v v v v last min. 

HAPPY 23RD

As the title suggests, it's the bf's birthday today!! 

Wanted to have brunch with him but he had plans with his family. So I end up meeting him at 4-ish pm at Kovan coz I suggested dinner at Lola's cafe. But there wasn't any tables available when we reached there, and we had to hop over to Ice Edge Cafe to wait for a bit before we were informed that there were tables available. So we chilled a bit at Ice Edge Cafe, had some tea and ice cream before heading back. 

Both of us ordered pastas as our mains and truffle fries. Food was relatively ok, the service is not bad also except that it's a bit noisy due to the crowd. Other than that, I would like to try their brunch menu next time though. Anyhooz, I failed at surprising him with the cake but I managed to make him believe that I've forgotten about his prezzie hehe.

May 11th, Sunday
Went to the tailor shop to look for the queen, shopped at town and bought quite a few stuff for her. She bought a bag and shoes somemore lor for the korea trip. Haha. Brought the queen to have some Korean food before our Korea trip. I was so worried she won't get used to the food and all but luckily, the food suits her tastebuds so I'm a bit relieved. Lol. Oh well lucky she is satisfied with her Saba Fish and also with my BBQ Chicken.

Hahah satisfied face after tasting the mango sago dessert hehe.

May 12th, Monday

Met Yeexin early in the morning to get ingredients for our muah chee. Lol! Easy to make but very tedious for us coz we did it the pan fried style. LOL, sibei gei kiang and the whole process was damn funny. Actually the whole thing came about when our fb newsfeed were kinda spammed by those "Easy to make muah chee" posts, so we decided to follow the trend as well haha. The recipe is here. Then I made her the best breakfast cupcake as well LOLOL, recipe here. 

Umm, it looked ok though just that we dk why out peanut wont stick LOL.

After our breakfast, we nua-ed for awhile before heading over to her house and then to City Square Mall hehe. Too bad we couldnt find her cardigan that she wanted. After that we had wanton mee for lunch hehe and headed home after that.0

Then the queen came back home and found out about our muah chee experience. Then she went to make it herself by steaming. Woah, my mum is the best sia, she didnt even see the recipe. And hers looked more appetizing than ours lolol.

See! Quite different from ours lor! Hahaha, plus she did it in like 15mins? We make like for an hour plus LOL, what's wrong with us sia seriously haha.

May 13th, Tuesday

Met the bf at Tamp and I was a bit angry with him coz he suggested to watch Spiderman another day. I was like "I thought we agreed on today?" But oh well, was pretty disappointed (haiya, but we caught it eventually lor) hahaha, Then we just window-shopped and accompanied him to have his subway lunch, then like that lor..... After that I had hokkien mee for dinner since i had craving.

May 15th, Thursday

Dinner with Weili and Yingzhou after work. Hehe, havent meet them for v v v v long liao. Dinner was at Manna Story PS (Ikr, I went there so many times until I lost count) Then we walked to Selegie Road and chilled at Cups n Canvas cafe. The cafe is really nice and quiet, very good for catch up sessions hehe! Plus it wasn't crowded so I really enjoyed myself there. Too bad I was full and didnt get to try anything there. So we just caught up and recalling back to the funny days and laughed like crazy haha.

May 16th, Friday

Finally met the bf to catch.........

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2!!!!!! 

Hahah, met him after work at Vivo and I was actually looking forward to catch it! Movie was 2 hours plus... and it was quite draggy imo. Then we had cheap sushi and some korean street food for dinner after that! Hehe. Then all my rant above is for nothing afterall haha, lame sia.

CNBLUE CAN'T STOP IN SINGAPORE 2014

Before this, Meiyan and I actually contemplated whether we should go. We didn't have the intention to go in the first place until Meiyan suddenly wanted to go after the advertisements shown on the tv. Lol, so it was kinda very spontaneous decision by the both of us. Coz it somehow happens just like this...

M: Eh wanna go CNBlue not ah? I see the tv show ad then I gian.

T: I ok with going leh, so you wanna go?

M: Umm, ok lor, you go buy the tickets.

So I bought the tickets like a few days before the concert only (thank god we still have tickets lolol) and now, the concert is already over :( Totally did not regretted going! Haha! It was so fun to see them jamming and rocking the stage as usual. Plus there were so many fan projects going on.

Anyhooz, I met Meiyan after work at GT. Lol, found out that my Taiwanese lady boss loves CNBLUE too lol! She was squealing with me after finding out that I was going. Haha. Met Meiyan pretty early coz we kiasus, and was afraid that the banners and stickers and ribbons will be given out really fast. Then we rushed to get the tickets and all the misc stuff and had dinner at KLP food court. The choices of food there is so limited and it was so crowded! But we managed to get seats (fortunately for us)

We sat at the same area that we were last year (what a coincidence, total deja vu) I was kinda afraid that the crowd won't be high and all due to my experience last year. You can read about it here. 

Luckily this year was very different. We were at Section 226 but then we saw there were a lot of empty seats in the sections that are nearer to the stage. So when the whole concert started, majority of us from our section (in fact, all of us) shifted from out section to another section that is nearer to the stage (plus we kinda zhuan dao in a sense that these empty sections actually cost $30 more than our original section) So we were pretty excited and lucky plus there was no one who could do anything about it because there were so many of us (very hard for the security to chase us away) but then there were some pretty unlucky fans who had to switched back to their original seats because those "visitors" decided to come. I reckon that the sections that were empty are actually some company retreat/complimentary tickets given to staff. I can totally tell that they are not fans at all, pfft! 

As for the concert, as compared to last year, they didn't joke around as much (prolly coz of the ferry incident) and the fan projects are more united in a sense that everyone has a yellow ribbon tied to their wrists, the rainbow project was successful (coz Jonghyun acknowledged it) It feels really good to be appreciated by the band members themselves. Needless to say, their performance was great as usual. I think their music matured a lot as well. We were more exposed to the less familiar songs this time, but they still do play the hits and all. 

SEE! THEY WERE THIS NEAR!! From where I was! Hehe! They bowed as usual, thanking the fans after the encore and hope to see them next year! Hehehe.

SCHOOL'S OUT~

May is quite an awesome month. My last exam was on the 8th (meaning I'm free from academic studies wooooooooo, graduated liaooooo)

YESTERDAY........
So we finished our EP exam in the afternoon. Headed to Bugis after that with the uni girls to go pray for good results (for me I just hope I can successfully clear and graduate lolol) Then we went to Yoogane and had our lunch there as recommended by Shuqing. We ordered quite a bit for the 3 of us - Cheese Fried Rice with Chicken + Dokbokki + Egg roll. I think we were pretty amazed with the cooking and frying of the food that is directly right in front of us. Great experience!

Scans above was taken some time ago when we met up for SM discussion in school. Surprised Puayjoo and celebrated her birthday. After that we were very full from the lunch and went back home shortly.

AND TODAY..........

Met Dezzy the bff at Town after work. She wanted to head over to DFS to see RP then after that the 2 of us gei kiang, walked to Cathay from DFS. Woah, the distance really no joke, I sometimes wonder how I manged to walk from Orchard to Dhoby last time. When we walked to Taka, we decided to take a break and indulge ourselves by buying a ice cream cone (plus she kept saying that it's very nice so I just have to try it lor) We sat around and rested for awhile, shopped a bit at Taka for Al's gift as well before we continued our journey to Cathay. Reached Cathay and had our daily dose of Maki San sushi lolol. Found out that the bff havent try EWF before so I promised her that our next meet-up will be having EWF for dinner. Lol. We lepak-ed outside cinema, played games and catch up a bit before we went back at around 10+pm.
