HAPPY 23RD

As the title suggests, it's the bf's birthday today!!

Wanted to have brunch with him but he had plans with his family. So I end up meeting him at 4-ish pm at Kovan coz I suggested dinner at Lola's cafe. But there wasn't any tables available when we reached there, and we had to hop over to Ice Edge Cafe to wait for a bit before we were informed that there were tables available. So we chilled a bit at Ice Edge Cafe, had some tea and ice cream before heading back.

Both of us ordered pastas as our mains and truffle fries. Food was relatively ok, the service is not bad also except that it's a bit noisy due to the crowd. Other than that, I would like to try their brunch menu next time though. Anyhooz, I failed at surprising him with the cake but I managed to make him believe that I've forgotten about his prezzie hehe.

walao my face really fat sia ppffftttt.

Not much photos because it's all in his camera and he didn't upload any of them pfffft. Plus idk if he was sian that I forgot or what coz he seemed listless, I mean if it was me, I confirm angry hahaha. But then his face lit up when I gave him his cufflinks kekeke! Hope he enjoyed the half day with me~

Cafe Hunting #7: D' Good Café

Bf picked me up from school today and we headed to Holland V together after that.
Lunch at d'Good and it was great because the swing seats are empty! hehehe. I hope he love the place as much as I do lolol. I've been to d'good for a couple of times and it still impresses me. Hehe, the food is tasty as usual. Ordered quite a lot I guess keke.

Had quite a spread and walked around Holland Village after that. I realised that ever since I get to know the bf, I've been too so many places that I haven't been to before. Thankiew love and hope you like the belated treat from me! xoxo

First anniversary

1 year together with the boyfriend. So fast!!! It feels like just yesterday when we were at MOHH (kuazhang)

Anyhooz, because I'm not a planner kinda person, I didn't really have specific plans in mind and I really don't know what to expect/what he expects. So when he told me we got the room at MBS, I was pretty thrilled! Haha, the times that I had been to MBS and also to the rooms are all because of Aldrick, I'm liker suaku living in a cave -_- Plus it is the F1 period, we can see the tracks at Floating Platform on the right of the room!! So fascinated!!

We had dinner at Au Chocolat after that. The whole place is so bigggggggg!!! With different sections for the food and pastry etc.

Ordered Duck Confit for myself and the bf had his favourite steak.

Duck Confit ($27)

Steak Frites ($42)

I love the duck confit!!! For someone who hasn't eaten duck confit before, haha, I feel that this one is quite tasty imo. It's crispy and the meat was nice and the combination with the apple is not that bad also, like salty + sweet. Hahah, I suck at explaining how tasty food is so bear with me.

Idk about the steak since I don't usually eat beef but I had a few bites thanks to Al who kept feeding me. His was medium rare if I'm not wrong? But halfway I think the steak was too raw for his liking haha.

Heheh and us with our food photos lololol!! I feel like I didn't take a lot of this kinda photos in awhile :x

Then after our main course, we ordered this dessert (coz we saw other people having it and it looked kinda interesting)

Frozen Hot Choco if I'm not wrong hahha. I didn't know if it's a drink/dessert because of the straw, and there's a spoon provided also hahaha. Ok anyhooz, we were freakinish full after the meal and went to walk around MBS.

Got my fave bbt in SG aka Gong Cha (HAHAHAHA) and then we went back to the room at around 11+
Was dead beat after that coz we did so much walking! And plus our stomachs were filled. Hehe.

The next morning, Al went to take a swim at the Skypark. UNFORTUNATELY, I couldn't thanks to the big red. But oh well, managed to soak under the sunlight for awhile (and plus I'm tanned enough, I don't need to be even more tanned) and acted touristy with the bathrobe and slipper hehe.

Good morning Singapore~

Envy much coz he got to swim and I don't :(

Then we tried the freakinish hot jacuzzi with Gardens by the Bay view in front of us haha. BUT too hot alr, couldn't stay there for >5 minutes haha.

Explored the whole area and at one end, there's the kids pool and I went into it with the water up to my thighs and tadahhhh thus the shot below...

Act yi ge touristy keke.

We checked out after that, and went to Paya Lebar and had our mac breakkie before going home.

Fun night even though there were misunderstandings in between but come to think of it, whatever problems we argued about are so minor that we would eventually solved it. It wasn't easy to be together with someone even after knowing all the flaws so I'm glad we made it this far and hopefully many more years ahead!! :)

We're The Millers

Busy busy girl here lately.

Started work at BM 2 days ago. Time seemed to pass by when we're absorbing information but yesterday was just another day when time was crawling. Met Aldrick to UNWIND after work today. It was kind of a last minute decision to meet because on Thursday I was already stressed out with whatever I have in my head. All that learning about new things and also things that I'm not specialized at. Pfft.

The plan was to catch We're The Millers because I've heard so many great reviews about it and I really needed a good laugh! So we decided on Strictly Pancakes for dinner. It was the bf's first time there and I don't think he is impressed with what he had. We ordered the normal pancakes with sides and all. Haha. I didn't have "feel" for pancakes but I was really hungry because I only survived on 2 pieces of bread for the entire day!!! I was so relieved when I see Aldrick after work manz! Haha.

The movie was awesome! And really funny!!! Glad that it managed to keep the bf awake as well because before that he was saying that he's very tired and about to sleep and all already. But then the movie was totally hilarious! All the spiderbites, "skateboard" drawings etc just cracked us up! Especially that Kenny! HAHAHHA. I'm sorry, I cannot help myself having some flashbacks of certain scenes as I'm typing this lolol!

Then the great bf sent me home after that and he surprised me by telling me that he actually managed to get a room at MBS from his parents tomorrow for our anniversary! Totally caught me by surprise! I actually wanted to go to Holland V and have lunch at some cafe and chill, plus the plan of doing spa treatment together was blown since it was full and then prolly dinner at town or something.

Alright, can't wait for tomorrow in any case and hope it will be fine!

National Day dinner

Had a random National Day dinner over at Bukit Purmei with the queen and the bf. The queen had tickets from the Radin Mas committee and the last time I went for such dinner was damn damn long ago. Anyhooz, asked the bf along as well but didn't know it would be such a bore to both of us hahaha. The bf came over to my place earlier for our usual weekly run before we went to Redhill market to look the queen.

So yup, waited quite long for the dinner to commence, I was suuuuper hungry and the bf was busy playing FM pfft. When the food finally came, I was so happy and then it dawned on me that I just exercised and all hahaha but I dig in anyway :X It was 9/10 course dinner I cannot remember. Al went off at about 9+ to send his bro and then when the dinner ended, Mum and I couldn't flag for any cabs, and the bf came to our rescue. So thankful coz he's always offering his help and all.

Oh well, quite a boring day but at least I spent the day with 2 of my love ones (L)

Good night xx

Cafe Hunting #6: forty h4nds

2nd National Day with the bf. How time flies, it's almost a year that we're together.
Anyhoos, we kinda decided to repeat the routine like last year. Met him in the afternoon at Tiong Bahru and decided to have our brunch at 40 Hands, located at Yong Siak Street (just opposite Books Actually). Waited for awhile for the seats coz the place was crowded!! And we couldn't really go anywhere else since it was about to rain. Then we shared the 4 seater with another couple which was kinda awkward. There wasn't too much space, the walkway was narrow and it kinda makes people feel claustrophobic haha. Ordered their breakfast set ($18 nett) and the bf tried their Eggs Benedict ($14 nett). Ordered my usual cup of mocha ($8) and I didn't really like it coz it was way too bitter for me, can't really taste the chocolate :( Total bill was about $44? The pictures of the food is in the bf's S4 so I will post it up as soon as I get it from him :) The service and ambience was alright but I didn't really manage to see why people are flocking here because I feel that the food is so-so. Oh well, another café experience.

But it was a hearty meal. I was very very bloated and then we went to the bookstore to take a look and then took a bus from the same bus stop to Suntec City. Errr walked around Suntec City, chilled at some place and caught the fireworks and supper at Café Cartel. This year was pretty different since we didn't sit outside MBS and watch the whole parade or whatever. We just shopped and walked around until it was about 8+, then we headed out to catch the fireworks.

So thank you very much for the day love. Hehehe. I was so full from the breakfast that I didn't have anything after that. But I was starving the moment I was about to sleep! Pfft. More National Days to come hopefully yay yay! :)

The Wolverine + Cafe Hunting #5: Stuttgart Blackforest Boutique S-Cafe

Met the bf for Wolverine today! Heh went to had his lunch at Botak Jones nearby my place. We were so full and satisfied from it! I only had the Kids meal of Fish & Chips and I'm alr "dying" of the fullness hahahhaha. But Aldrick kinda like the atmosphere of that American Diner place. The table for a start is quite "interesting" hahaha. They put a mahjong paper and crayons on the table for people to doodle, and there's a variety of sauces! Hahahha, plus our lemon tea is free flow! So everything was ok I guess.

As for the movie, errrr I dont like the plot, but it's ok, Hugh Jackman is hot at his age so nothing else matters HAHAHAH. K kidding, I'm a X-Men fan but the storyline really......... Can't wait for the next X-Men movie liao hehe.

After the movie, we headed to Bugis without any plans, just walked around aimlessly. Walked till we were a bit tired and we randomly walked into this cafe called Stuttgart Blackforest Boutique S-Cafe, located at Middle Road. Obviously we didn't know what are their specialties and all. Wanted to look for cafes nearby but we cannot find (plus Al's phone died and my bb is so slow lol) so we just went in (like out of desperation like that hahaha).

So yup, walked in to a huge cafe with many nutcrackers and cuckoo clocks! Errrr, everything is new to me, the menu is pretty cool, it is in a form of a newsletter and imo there wasn't a lot of variety and prices are pretty steep. The place is quite cozy I guess and they have a few retail corners selling German candy, organic food etc. We ordered a Breakfast Set ($10) and some dark beer ($10) coz they got some promo for their beers I think. It was $18 at first. Total bill is about $25?

Took only the above 2 pics from my bb LOL. Sorry for the extremely lousy quality ok! Anyhoos, I was quite amazed by the butter. It's green in colour and the taste is..... odd like how the bf described it. Haha. It's buttery but yet it also tastes like pepper? Idk how to describe la omg. But the taste is really new and surprising. I accept the taste but I'm not sure for other people. Haha. The breakfast taste ok also. Overall, the place is nice, the service is good but the prices are really too steep! But I saw some reviews saying that their blackforest cake is nice, so perhaps we will try it someday. Other than that, I am def not willing to pay $18 for coffee or $16 for some juice.

Left the cafe for home after that. Thank you Al for being a wonderful companion. It's been quite a while since we have our cafe dates but oh well... The next few days at home will be constructive for me because I will aim to finish an essay before my birthday! Stupid deadline is my birthday, what a "present"! BUT I CAN DO THIS, CHIONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!

Ciao guys! :)

Finally some time off to blog!! School this week was insane even though it's only 3 days. But I was in school the whole day that 3 days, so tired thinking about it, really grateful that I have my usual uni mates! This semester will be fun, hopefully. Got to know some new people as well, I know it's a bit too late since we're in our 2nd (also our 2nd last) semester already, but won't hurt knowing more people I guess?

Yesterday I finally met my beloved boyfriend after 2.5 weeks? Hehehe, met him for dinner at Bugis after I ended school and he got me gifts from BKK yay!! Hehehehhehehe! The reason why I'm this happy is because I thought he'd have forgotten all about me, but with all the gifts, I knew he was thinking of me!! Hahaha. That includes every single call and text for the previous 2 weeks. Everything suddenly mean a lot to me keke. Had dinner at QQ Noodle House at our usual seats, then sat at the Ireland's Potatoes for a few hours. We got so much to catch up on (ok, mainly him since he was the busy one and I got no life, only had school lolol) and so happy to hear that he had fun and all but poor him kinda kena some food poisoning? Wanted to catch a movie but it was too late :( So we sat around for awhile before we went off.

That also explains why we met today... to watch the movie that we were supposed to watch yesterday hahahh. Lunch at Pizza Hut, headed back to his place for him to sleep off the drowsiness from his med and me to catch up on my zzsf.

Rushed back to TM and caught Pacific Rim!!! I know I'm slow but the movie's great even though we sat until we had cramps but the movie's so good and interesting enough to also keep Aldrick awake hahaha! Idk what else to describe for the movie already, really not bad for a not-so-siao-robots kinda person like me. I think it's better than Transformers imo? Ok, maybe I'm too quick to judge since I only watched the last Transfomer movie and not the rest but oh well...........

Have plans for the next 2 days so I will def blog more whenever possible!!
Ciaos!

Catch-up with Yeexin + Jus' 21st + Cafe Hunting #4: The Cheesecake Cafe

Long and tiring Saturday for me!!

I woke up early in the morning and did my laundry before meeting Yeexin for lunch. And I finally decided to cut my fringe after half a year or so? I wanted to keep my fringe long but it's making my face look round :( Hahaha, but well, I think my fringe was very long before I decided to go to the salon and cut it. Hahaha. After that, the 2 of us went to L'etoile Cafe (yup, the one next to her house only and yet she didn't try once! haha) to catch up and chill and of course, have our lunch. My camera kinda failed me because it can't read the stupid memory card walan. So the following 3 photos are the only ones I had with Yeexin since we took it using her iphone :(

She ordered the Pan Seared Dory ($16.90) and Strawberry Soda ($4.90)

And I ordered Carbonara ($16.90) and a cup of Orange Juice ($3.90). I know weird combi but I just crave for juices that day. Hehehe. Not much comments about my carbonara since I don't think it's very fantastic but as long as it satisfies my stomach, I'm contented. Hahaha. Yeexin said that her fish is quite oily but she managed to finish up the whole plate keke.

Then we ordered an extra Strawberry Jam Crepe ($6.50) for dessert. Heh, I was disappointed that I didn't get to eat it the other time I was there with Aldrick but yay!!! Hmm, it looks quite plain but it's quite tasty!! The combi of the fruits and the crepe and the jam is so good!! I wanna try their cakes next time!! People kept raving about their cakes and I didn't get to try coz I was too full pffft. NEXT TIME NEXT TIME!!

We left the cafe with filling stomachs and went back to nua at her place. Hehehe Lion was so cute as usual after his fur cut lololol!! I think I nua for a few hours there till 5.30pm. Hahah, even got the chance to feed Ah Pong (Yeexin's sis' guinea pig LOLOL) Hahaha, but overall great afternoon well spent with Yeexin! :)

After that went to meet Meiyan at Serangoon MRT then to Paya Lebar to meet the rest (Tingz, Ginz and Chuanhui) Hehehhe. Bus-ed to Jussy's house and idk what actually happened next already LOLOL. We took a table outside (which is NOT the wrong choice afterall coz it was so stuffy and warm inside the house!) and ate until we're bloated! Hehehe! Jussy's dad and relatives were very welcoming, and offered us satays and all!

Thank you Ginny! For the big bottle of M&Ms btw :)

Sang birthday songs and photo-taking was insane! Hahahha. So many people!

Jussy called this the Poly Year 1 photo lol simi sia?!

Oh yeah, the cake and decor is so cuteeeeeeeeeeee! Heheheheh! Especially the cake! When Jussy revealed it, everybody was crowding over the cake instead of placing the attention to Jus. Lol!

Oh yeah, met Keith there as well. Hahahah, didn't see him for almost a year? Idk man, ever since they enlisted. And I miss Ivan too :( Hahaha. Jussy's place totally reminded me of CNY last year where we were at Jus' house. And Keith even moved house :( No more Serangoon sia nooooooooooooooooooooooooo :( Hahahha.

And there's this obligatory shot with the birthday boy LOLOLOL.

HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY JUSSY!!! :) You've been a great nonsensical friend so far! Hmm, doubt he will read so I shall continue LOLOL....

AND YES..... I had fun that night partly because of this PUI DI HAHAHHA
He's so adorbz! Keke, and was innocently bullied by me. Asked him to fetch water, wash my legs etc for me LOL. But he still listens to me :') So touched lea hahahaha. Talked to the K2 kiddo and nonsensed with him also (guess he got a bit of nonsense from jus haha)

Hehehehhe so cute!!!!! I mean the way he looked at me! Kekkeke I so shyzxzxzxzxz! Hahahahha! But oh well, all kids are adorbz, hopefully they will stay cuter when they grow up.....

Left the party after tearing off Jus' nametag (haha someone got him a running man shirt for him and I couldn't resist, I just have to try tearing it off!) because Aldrick came over and fetch me (totally impromptu, didn't even have plans with him hahha) and we went late night cafe hunting at.........

The Cheesecake Cafe, located at East Coast Road! This cafe surprised me quite a bit. Idk if it's because I didn't have any prior knowledge about the cafe since I didn't have time to check out reviews but the decor and ambience there was great!!! I think we reached there about 10ish? And there were still so many people!! We got seated very fast and the staff are all friendly and nice!

Ordered a Jamaican Rum & Raisins (as recommended by one of the staff) and Al had a latte and I had my usual cup of mocha heh. No price stated here because I forgot already + I wasn't the one paying :x Heheh but I think it cost about $20+ for the 2 of us?

Look at the wall decors and statues around!! Hahaha! I didn't manage to see the insides coz we were seated near to the entrance. Think we sat there for quite awhile, talking and listening to each other :) Hehehe, quality time spent before he reports for army the whole of next week :( Kekeke.

Alright, pretty long picturish post here!!!
Last day of holiday tomorrow............... SIANNNNNNNN

Weekdays update

Monday: Nua at home and had precious alone time. Finished 1 season of Suits as well.

Tuesday: Met the bf for singing at Teo Heng from 2pm-5pm. Booked a small room and the room is not small at all lor!! Big enough for 3-4 people!! Hahaha, dk why that time booked with Meiyan one is like the mini room one. And it's $18 for the 3 hours package which is totally worth it!! Heh. After that we went to Parkway Parade and coincidentally there is a taiwanese food fair going on, so I ordered a bowl of fake sharkfin soup before heading home for dinner. Kekeke.

Wednesday: The bf came over to my place for my homecooked pasta lunch! :)

Cooked a bit too much but we managed to finished all of it hehehhe! I'm so not good at estimating! Well, hope the lunch satisfies the bf though! After that we caught Despicable Me Part 1 on his lappy! Kekeke, still can't get over how cute Agnes and the minions are!!!! Plus the bf is minion-crazy!!! He's so addicted to the "butt" joke by the minions that he kept repeating it, and it's so annoying!! Hahaha.

Thursday: Met Puayjoo and Shuqing at 1pm at TP to print our notes for the new semester. Yangmehz came to look for me and accompanied me heehe. And thanks to Chngjie's account, we managed to print until the ink ran out at Engine school's labs. Hahhaa. One huge stack of notes sia! Omggggg, and school's starting tmd! Had the spicy nuggets at Engine school as well hehehe! Rushed off to meet Weili at Cathay for dinner at Maki-San after that! It was only a short 45min catch-up plus she got something to attend to.

Friday: Long day! Met the bf for Despicable Me 2!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

The movie was funny as usual! Plus the minions has more screen time compared to the first movie. Hehehe, but they are so cuteeeeee!!!! Kekekekekkeekkekkeek! I read that there will be a spin-off movie for the minions! Hahhaha, bet it's gonna be hilarious lor!

After the movie, accompanied the bf to TTSH for his dental visit before we head back to his place. Then I got this craving for chicken rice while we were otw. Hahaha, Al gave me the stunned look while he was driving walao eh! But he brought me to eat the Simei chicken rice which is nice and reasonably priced! Headed back to his place and played Guitar Hero which I totally sucked at for the singing parts. Hahaha. Not very good at the guitar either. After that nua at his place until evening before heading back home for dinner.

My weekdays are awesome so fun, hopefully my weekends will be the same as well :)
Ciaos! :)

Giant Minion

Finally saw the giant minion for ourselves right outside Cathay keke! Met the bf after a tiring day of work, went to have our dinner at a place I found online - Maki-San.

It is located at the basement and we can actually choose how we want our sushi to be like! We got to choose our ingredients (depending on the size) and etc. All we had to do is to just fill up an order form and after we're done ticking, make payment, then collect our sushi!! Heh. The whole concept is quite new to me but I like it. Plus it's affordable too! The small portion was $6.90 while the big portion is $9.90. I think it's worth it and quite filling as well. There weren't many seats so to go there in a group would be rather hard but a get-together with 2-4 friends should be ok :)

The packaging is cutesy as well heh.

After dinner, Aldrick suggested to head over to Playnation hehehehe. So we were there for 2 hours and played like crazy. Hehe, my arms confirm ache tomorrow. Played Raving Rabbits, WWE, some lame 3D movie play thingy and erm... Just Dance. Hahahahah, the dancing part was totally hilarious!! Especially the last song when our roles kinda swap. He was dancing to the girl's part and I was dancing to the guy's. The last finishing move of that dance was that the guy carried the girl over his head. HAAHAHAHAHA, both of us laughed like crazy.

Fun 2 hours with him for $10+ per pax. Reasonable I guess with free flow of drinks somemore. Hehehe. After that headed to Rochor to get his butterfly and soyabean before going home!

So tired, just wanna snooze already.

Thank you for the awesome night! You're my ace!! Heh ;)
